These drawings were taken from some unsuspecting, and, some willing subjects on the beaches of Coral Bay. They are commonly known as ‘blind’ drawings or contour drawings, meaning I did not allow myself to look at my sketch pad but only kept my eye on the subject. The only time I looked at my drawing was to reposition my pencil. This enabled me to only concentrate on the outline and character markings. The results were very rewarding. Most of my ‘models’ offered to pay for the sketch of themselves.
